Hi Terri and the Crew!

We had such a wonderful time at White Gate Court. I started missing it before we even left. It was a dream vacation for us and the perfect place to take our dog. Bungalow #3 was perfect. It was cool, quiet, comfortable, and a real home away from home. We enjoyed meeting all of our neighbors, too. Cricket has never been happier and is quite mad at us for making her leave. She is a real salty dog now. We saw so many fish and other critters while snorkeling; Cricket loved hunting the land crabs, possum, and chasing the great white heron, who tolerated her in return. She loved getting in the water and got a bit braver each day. I do hope we are able to come again and stay longer. It was well worth the 1,500 mile drive from Fort Worth, Texas!

Good morning. I just wanted to thank you for the terrific stay at your property this weekend. Cabin #7 was spotless, comfortable, and just perfect for our weekend getaway! We loved the grounds, kayaking (which I did for the first time ever and loved it) and just lounging in such a peaceful setting. We'll definitely be back (and will bring the furkids next time, too)!

Terri, we wanted to let you know what a great time we had during our recent stay. No one had a better time than Barnes, particularly when he tried to pull Raymond out of the water by his flipper. While Cathy and I rested and read, Barnes wore himself going in and out of the water and playing with the other pets. Much like a kid on vacation, he was nonstop during the day and passed out at night. I have attached two pictures that tell the story.

Our room was clean and spacious, the grounds lovely and the sunsets were as advertised. Everyone made us feel right at home. We have spread the word here and would recommend White Gate Court to anyone, especially, those with dogs.
We are already talking of our return trip. Thank you.

Hi Terri and Suzanne, May 7th - May 11th 2009 Just another GREAT stay at White Gate Court. This place is truly amazing! We stayed in #4 and it was very clean and cozy, your staff is very accommodating and helpful. We love watching Suzanne feed the birds! The sunsets are the best and snorkeling was fantastic. Carol and Lou and their new baby Heidi were there that we met last year, wish we could have stayed longer! Next year we are there for a week. We met some really nice people there and the family pets were great too. The dolphin that swam up to the dock was my highlight! Thanks again for a wonderful stay and we would not go to any place else. You just gotta come and stay!

Dear Terri and staff who made me feel at home, My name is Katy, the black Standard Poodle, from Indianapolis, Indiana. I HAD A FABULOUS TIME AT WHITE GATE COURT. I tried to chase: a) the egrets; b) the iguana: c) the doves, all to no avail. Gail, one of my "servants" took me onto the pier to look at the cormorants and the clown fish, and the nurse shark. We took long walks and inspected the beautiful grounds. My other "servant", Bob, brought me tidbits from the fine restaurants in Islamorada. I want to thank everyone for our two week visit. I'm voting for us to come back next year.... Love, Katy

Thanks so much for a wonderful trip to the keys! We had unheard of cold weather and high winds for our visit, but all was redeemed thanks to where we stayed! I'm not sure we could've stayed at a more relaxing, laid back and perfect spot. We kayaked from the dock, rode bikes to Robbie's Marina (even though the tarpon were a no show due to the weather), and grilled out while watching the stars and relaxing atmosphere of White Gate Court. We stayed in #1, and it was cozy with comfy beds and all that we needed to enjoy a week in the keys. I've never brought my dog, Bessie, on vacation, and have always wished for the opportunity... It couldn't have been a better time! We drove 11 hours from South Carolina and are already trying to visit y'all again... Thanks for everything. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

We wanted to let you know how much we loved staying at White Gate Court. We found your hotel after an online search for pet-friendly hotels. We spent 3 wonderful nights in October 2008. The grounds were clean and well-kept. Unit 4 was comfortable & immaculate. The other guests were friendly but not intrusive, as were you and your staff. We were able to keep our 5-year-old Boxer-Lab mix off-leash the entire time. He loved roaming around, meeting the other dogs, and swimming & playing catch in the water. There was a clean gas BBQ in front of our unit with a patio set and tiki torches. Very peaceful to bring the coffee out there in the mornings and watch Buddy exploring. After reading some of the online reviews, I can only think that some folks cannot be pleased and will find anything to complain about. If anyone is looking for serenity with family and pets, this place is great. We are definitely planning to return to the White Gate Court for our next getaway. See you soon!

Hi Terri, White Gate is a truly unique and special slice of life. I can't wait to tell our friends at doggie park. We all love our furry kids and want them to enjoy a "family" vacation with us. Most places say they are pet friendly, but really mean on leash only. Having him swim and romp around off leash was a priceless experience and one we will never forget. His first encounter with the manatees was snorkeling with me and he stood up on one thinking it was a rock until she rolled over. He decided after that to view them from the dock unstead. What a "baby". We had a lot of fun with everyone we met that weekend and hope we'll all get back together for a "reunion of sorts". Here are a few more photos of some of Otis's new pals. I sewnt Nauret and Nuri the ones with "Paco" paddle boat, but didn't get a chance to get Pat's email to forward along the ones of Zander and Madison.

My husband and I were at the resort from May 12th until May 17th. We had a wonderful time. The suite was immaculate, the grounds were a tropical garden and the visit was relaxing. We will stay at your little resort again next time we come down.

My husband and I along with our empty nest baby, Samwise-"Sam" for short, our black lab, enjoyed a very clam and relaxing 6 days (May 8 - 13) in your little paradise called White Gate Court. We stayed in room 6 and found it to be an immaculate and charming bungalow. You even provided a throw so Sam (who is very, very spoiled) could lounge on the bed like he's used to at home! The surrounding well kept gardens, grounds and beach provided us with a peaceful atmosphere to read, snorkel, and chat with other guests as well as a great place for our Sam to enjoy himself. Sam especially liked meeting and greeting with Deanna and Jeanne's "Reba" and Carol and Lou's "Jack". Thank you for providing such a nice place for us to come and vacation with our beloved pooch. We intend to be regular guests at White Gate--"God willing and the creeks don't rise"--at least once a year. Till we meet again.

We stayed at White Gate Court this May 2008 and we had a wonderful time. The resort is spotless and very well maintained. It is quiet, peaceful, the management is very friendly, and it’s great for pets. There is lots to do in the area with many good restaurants to eat at. Our dogs had a wonderful time frolicking in the water and running around the grounds. I have stayed in many pet friendly resorts, but this is the best one yet, and I think one of a kind in the Keys. We will be back!

Thank you again for the terrific, relaxing week we had! Bogey is already looking for his beach swim this morning. He got so comfortable with me in the kayak. I am sure I will now take him in many trips here around theTampa bay. Catching fish off the dock was fun. Everything was great. We just can't say enough. Look forward to seeing you again, soon

Gate Court and just wanted to thank the entire staff for creating such a
great place. The grounds were beautiful, our room was fantastic and it was
such a thrill for us to find a place that not only accepts pets, but

Just wanted to say that Richard and I had an awesome 2 weeks at the resort. Everything was just perfect and the weather did not disappoint either. Not only did we have a great vacation but we also made some new friends. What more can you ask for?
Hope Wally's leg is better. He is an amazing dog! We are already planning our next trip hopefully this coming spring.
When we got back home to Brampton, Ontario, Canada on Nov 10 it was quite a temperature change for us. When we left the resort in the morning it was almost 80 degrees and when we landed in Toronto it was a mere 39 degrees. Burrrrr! I Can't wait until our next visit.

We were so sorry to hear about Barney. We know he’ll be missed by all that knew him. We visited White Gate Court about 2-1/2 years ago with our pup, Buckwheat. We never leave home without our pups. We have two new additions and look forward to a visit sometime in the near future. We had such a wonderful time!! I am attaching some photos from our stay with you this past weekend. The grounds were lovely! Our cottage was lovely. Beautiful, relaxing, comfortable!!!

Another wonderful week in your perfect little paradise. Being from California most people think I have the perfect weather and surroundings, but nothing compares to the Eden I find there. With a six hour flight I can not bring my 4 legged company but I find surrogate friends there. This was my second year coming and it was even more beautiful. The ground are breath taking and cabins are little pieces of heaven. I can not wait to book again for next year. For one week out of my year I find peace and serenity that recharges my batteries. Please always keep this place the same it is perfect.

Daffodil, Vincent and Gwynne Constantino stayed at White Gate Court on May 14-19, 2007. We stay here every year and always enjoy our visit. The rooms are all kept clean and the staff is very helpful with whatever you may need. The grounds are spotless and so is the beach. I suggest White Gate Court to everyone who asks me where I stay when I go to the Keys.

Its just me Robert Schlien letting you know how much we loved staying at Whitegate Court. Katharine and I were astonished by how lovely the accomodations were whilst permitting Jessie to have a vacation as well. Jessie, my golden, is part of our family and having a hotel that was so pet friendly and layback was truly a great surprise. The swimming was great, paddleboating was relaxing and just sitting under a tree made everything perfect. Being from Ft Lauderdale we look forward to visiting Whitegate again quite soon.

Hello....we were wondering if you had any openings for Feb. 2007? We enjoyed your place very much in 2005 our 2 yellow labs (Emily & Oliver) had a blast as did we. We will be in Delray Beach, Florida for the winter from Montauk, New York and thought we would take a ride south for a week or two. Please let me know if there are any available openings. Wow....another perfect vacation at White Gate...we didn't want to leave. The grounds and our cabin were perfect, but more important, the friendships that we made (2 legged and 4 legged) are priceless. For me, the quiet relaxation was long overdue ! See you earlier next year.

I wanted to take just a moment to say what a wonderful time we had at White Gate Court a few weeks ago!! Hope to see you again very soon.

Thanks for a very relaxing 4 days. This is the first time we have taken a dog on vacation. Nutmeg is 15 months old, & we all had a great time. A perfect place for people & pets to relax & have a great time. Nutmeg's first time swimming & she loved it. We will be back next year.

We had the best time staying with you. Everyone was so accomodating and the facilities are beautiful. We could not imagine staying anywhere else and are looking forward to returning in the near future.

this beautiful home is where I used to spend all of my summers with my dearest grandparents Harold and Betty Cockrell. THey used to house sit during the summer months. My fondest childhood memories are locked away in this most beautiful place and will forever be held as presious memories. Laura and I are both busy people, and time off is rare. Accordingly, where we stay when we can get away is usually a make-or-break matter. We chose White Gate Court on recommendation from a good friend, and we were not disappointed. Our cabana (No. 7) was clean and well-furnished, the grounds were nicely kept, and most important, our host was wonderful. Susan is a sweetheart who makes very effort to accomodate. She makes you feel welcome and at home (if, of course, your home is on the turquoise blue waters of the Keys ;-)). I brought a fishing boat down which Susan graciously allowed me to tie to the dock the entire visit. Unfamiliar with the particular waterways, Susan volunteered advice on both routes of navigation and fishing spots. In sum, it was a great stay, with a great host ! We will certainly return. p.s. We had the honor of staying the same weekend as Fern, the Great Dane - oh yeah, and her owners James and Anastasia (hi guys!). Fern was waiting for me with tail wagging as I brought the boat back from the ramp . . . Awesome dog!

Spending our 4th anniversary was a delight at your special place in Islamorada. Very relaxing, romantic and of course wonderful that our Great Dane, Fern, could be with us on our holiday. We all thank you and will be back soon. Thanks for the hospitality, Susan.

Susan thank you for the second best vaction this year. The first was in May when Jimmy and I met you and Raymond for the first time. The two of you have been so kind to Jimmy and I and have given us just two fabulous vacations in one year.We tell everybody about White Gate and your generosity.The vacation in November was three weeks after Wilma hit and it was fabulous.We were pleasantly surprised that everything was in perfect order. Dear Susan, My husband and Vizsla have visited White Gate Court five times with our most recent visit being the week of October 16 - October 23 2005. We had another fabulous week and are so grateful that you rescued the property and continue to manage it. I would like to point out that we are Floridians and live 6 blocks from the ocean yet we choose to drive 7-8 hours to White Gate Court every year and can hardly wait until our next visit. It is our perfect and ideal vacation spot for the following reasons: 1. our Vizsla has the time of her life running, swimming and playing with the other dogs (who have always been friendly) 2. contrary to popular belief, sandy beaches are extremely rare in the Keys; the beautiful beach you created is a real treat. 3. the property is gorgeous and meticulously attended to 4. the cottages are quaint and clean 5. the other guests are always friendly and interesting 6. the property is so big, we always feel like we have the whole place to ourselves 7. the location of the property being in a residential area keeps the atmosphere private and quiet 8. the location of the property in the Islamorada area is perfect - our favorite restaurants and shopping are there. It is for all of these reasons and many more that I hope you and the staff are all doing okay after Hurricane Wilma. We have grown fond of you over the years. Wilma was just starting to affect the Keys the Sunday we departed and I have been worried about your safety and the damage the storm may have caused. It is quite evident that you have put your heart and soul into the property and made it what it is. My husband and I have cherished memories at WGC and we look forward to many, many more. I wish we lived closer to you to lend our hands in the cleanup from Wilma. Sincerely, Jill

Susanne, I sure hope you survived the nastiness of hurricane Wilma. We visited your lovely resort the week of October 3rd and have an absolutely wonderful time. Beginning with the cabins: they were spotless and beautiful. The grounds were immaculate and the grounds keepers were constantly working to make sure that not even a blade of grass was out of place. Speaking of grass: what a nice treat in the keys that you can walk barefoot on soft grass. Even though it was too windy (we didn't even take our boat off the trailer), it was one of the most wonderful and relaxing trips we've ever had. The paddle boat gave us a lovely trip around the mangroves one day, thank you! We also brought our kayaks and had fun, but the most fun was being able to have our little Jack Russell (Desi) with us. It was hilarious when my husband Mickey would catch a fish off the dock and give it to Desi. She would bring it to me (on a lawn chair, sunning and reading) and I would set it free in the water. The silly little doggie would then go for a swim and try and find it. We did this over and over and enjoyed it every single time. Oh, Desi sends her thank you too for the doggie treat (non-fat!). Thank you. I hope all is well from the storm. It's such a nice get a-way that we hope to come back again.

Suanne, What a beautiful place you have and what a great smile you have as well. Although we live in Miami and some of your guest do not have the luxury of living so close you have a wonderfull enviromment especially for our beautiful pets. Sea Shell our beautiful golden retriever has a time of her life swimming in the fish and manatee loaded lagoon that is gin clear to say the least. I so happy that my wife has booked as you know a lot of three day weekends for us because our Sea Shell loves the place and is safe. The grounds give you the feeling of a wide open environment and not like some of the other resorts that make you feel cramped. We have found paradise for ourselves and our beautiful animal. WE SEARCHED AND SEARCHED AND FOUND 1 OR 2 PLACES THAT WOULD ALLOW THEM IF THEY MET THE REQUIRMENTS " SMALL UP TO 30 LBS". WELL OUR PETS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A LITTLE LARGER AND HEAVIER "100 LB. RANGE ". TINO WEIGHS IN AROUND 104 LBS FULL OF GOOD MANNERS, COURTSEY AND LOTS OF LOVE. WELL WHEN WE FOUND YOUR RESORT. WE COULD NOT BELIEVE OUR EYES,WHEN WE ENTERED THE GATES AT WHITE GATE.THE GROUNDS,THE CABINS AND THE BEACH AND DOCK AREA WERE ALL BEAUTIFUL AND WELL MAINTAINED. WE WERE SO SOLD WHEN WE MET THE STAFF AND THEY SAID THAT TINO WOULD BE WELCOMED ON OUR NEXT VACATION.WE WERE SO VERY TO KNOW THAT OUR NEXT VACATION WOULD BE COMPLETE. My wife, myself and Zoey the Pug have just returned from one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken. Susanne is an amazing hostess who supervises a wonderful crew that keep the units and grounds in immaculate condition. We wanted to extend our stay for three more days after the first week but Hurricane Rita shortened the extension. Susanne thought of nothing but our well being. We spent hours each day and night on the dock and in the water repeatedly amazed by the sea critters including a huge manatee! Having our dog with us made the trip so easy and everyone seemed to watch their pets and respect each other's privacy. The gardens are beautiful and geckos, lizards and even a friendly and beautiful corn snake would visit our porches from time to time. Watching Susanne feed the Great White Egrets and other smaller birds just before sunset was a daily treat. Speaking of sunsets, the view from the end of the dock is amazing as several hundred pictures we took attest to. Susanne is a fascinating woman with a wealth of knowledge of the Keys and many other topics as well. It is hard to find the right words to adequately describe how happy we are that we stayed at White Gate Court. Read the introduction on the website about what to expect. It is what piqued my interest in the first place but all my expectations were exceeded. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

9-11-05, We enjoyed the last week very much. It was great to be able to vacation with our dogs at a place that welcomes them. It was very relaxing and we'll not hesitate to refer White Gate and hope that we can return soon as well.

Susan you have a wonderful place, and you are a great host. My wife, myself and our grand son enjoyed your hospitality and the great Florida Keys.It was hard for us to leave, gregory had a great time with all the fish, crabs and the beautful manatee. Dear Susan, A note to express, once again, our joy to have found White Court Gate for our vacation. This is a beautiful, restful, gorgeous, environment where adults, children and pooches (of all sizes!) share wonderful and unforgetable memories. My family of four has just returned from our week stay at White Gate Court. The pictures on the web site can not capture the true essence of the resort. One level cottages tucked in among Palms, Hibicus and numerous flowering vines. Plenty of lounge chairs about, in the shade and sunshine. This was the first time I have read two books in one week since our kids were born ( now 9 and 5 1/2) Speaking of kids; the lagoon is a living seaquariam.... great swimming,snorkeling and playing with the paddle boat were the hits of each day. My 5 1/2 year old daughter was swimming in the water one afternoon and asked me if we could move to this country!!! Accomadations were very comfortable. The owners have truly created a "Treasure " in the Florida Keys.

Hallo White Gate-Team We got back well to Germany but a part of us has been staying at the keys. The children are talking nearly every day about fishing, manatees, dolphins, kayaks .... We are looking forward to our next trip to Florida and hope to see you back soon. The Bernard-family

I went back to work today and found myself day dreaming of the wonderful and peaceful time we had last week. Rarely does an internet site really turn out to be all that is pictured and offered but this one did! We had a truly peaceful and restful vacation...one I will look forward to again soon. The staff were very kind and polite and saw to our every need. You truly have a small piece of paradise.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very relaxing and everything we want in a vacation. We loved our cottage and the beach was great. Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation.

My family and I have been going to White Gate court for the last ten years running and it is the best time we have ever had down in the keys. Susan Raymond and their staff are the utmost in professionals and their dog Barney the swimmer is as cute as can be. We drive from New York where the hustle is overwhelming. From the second we see the white gates we are immediately at peace. I can't wait to go fishing on the spacious dock while my parents love to relax on the quiet and peaceful beach. All in all I really can't say anything even remotely negative about the place it truly is everything i hoped for in a quiet getaway.

Susanne, We had a fantastic vacation in the keys. This was by far the best vacation of my life and I have White Gate Court to thank for it. The accomodations were great the weather was perfect the water was beautiful and all of the staff was wonderfully polite and helpful. It was quiet the most important factor of all serene calm and beautiful. We loved snorkeling every afternoon and saw many many types of fish and crustaceans. The morning we were leaving at 4:45 we said goodbye to the ocean and to my left I saw a large object moving in the water. It was a manatee. She was about 8 feet long. We both got in the water with her and gave her water from the hose. A park ranger in the everglades said we should not have given her water but thought the experience was amazing. We petted her and swam with her for about 45 minutes it was incredible and wonderful. I will never forget that experience and will definitely be back to White gate Court yearly if not twice a year what a great place!!!!

Deb and I, along with our "boys", Ralphie and Wally, would like to thank all of you at the Court for a perfect week's vacation. We spent New Year's Day sitting in the sun and enjoying the peace and quiet of your beautiful resort. We're planning on staying 2 weeks next time, so let us know when you will be booking for Dec., 2003...we can't wait!

We spent Christmas at White Gate Court: my husband and I and our dog Wally. We absolutely loved the little bungalow that we stayed in! Wally enjoyed meeting many new friends-especially Hanna and Madison-and we all enjoyed lounging on the beach. The grills at each bungalow are a nice touch. We grilled wonderful seafood from the Islamorada Fish Market for Christmas dinner. You really have a little piece of paradise down there and we can't wait to come back. Pets welcomed-What an understatement!! We had a fabulous time at White Gate Court-It was a treat to bring our dog, Oreo, on vacation with us and have feel as welcomed as we did. We left there and went to Key West-what a mistake. We hurried back to Islamarada and the quiet beauty of White Gate Court.

What a fabulous time we had during our stay!! We were very pleased with the accomodations...quiet, relaxing, beautiful, clean....perfect!!! The only bad part of our vacation was when we had to leave. Our dogs had the best time swimming and running on the beautiful grounds! We'll definately be back as soon as we can and will highly recommend White Gate Court to all our friends and family.

Dear Susanne and Raymond,
Being an avid diver I stayed at the "expensive" busy hotel to in Islamorada and fell in love with the area, and decided on the next dive trip to get away from the crowds and researched alternatives on the internet. Of all of the choices available, White Gate Court looked the best. Your site spoke to me because I have stayed at the finest hotels in the world, and don't like being caught in the "Toursit Prisons" the big hotels tend to offer. Unfortunately I waited too long and there weren't any reservations available for my vacation. I took my second choice and visited White Gate Court during that visit and saw it was even better than the web site said it would be. I made sure to book the next diving holiday well in advance, and had a friend stay with me (that lives in London England) this time that wanted to be certified to dive too. Learning to dive can be a little stressful, but when we arrived back "home" each evening to our beautiful villa and tranquil beach we truly cherished every moment away from the crowds. My friend Martin and I also fell in love on that vacation, and returned two weeks later we returned to White Gate Court to be married in an underwater ceremony. Martin is moving to Florida now and I am sure that at least once a year we will return to relax in the romantic manicured beach and gardens that your wonderful resort offers, away from the busy highway. We will also bring our little dog Angel, and she loves to swim and play with the other dogs staying there. We made many new friends that would also find it difficult to leave their little friends in a kennel. The staff, especially Raisia were also wonderful making sure that everything was perfect when we returned each day. Thank you again for having the atmosphere that created a treasure trove of romantic memories and an opportunity for us to really be together. We hope to see you all again very soon.

Spent a couple days at White Gate Court and your place is as advertised; clean, quiet and relaxing. Barney was friendly and fun to hang with on your beach. Only suggestion I would have is to install ceiling fans in all units and upgrade the window AC units. Overall a nice experience.

We are only two days home from our wonderful vacation in White Gate Court. Cheeto and Cindy (those crazy lovable dachshunds) and my husband and I loved everything, from the atmosphere, the beautifully manicured grounds, (and we know this is a lot of hard work since we are from Naples), the Villa, the service, all of it! This was our second time there, and (the Girls) enjoyed their freedom tremendously, and Cindy even became protective of her (home), and the dock! I read that Sake had a great time, too. We met him and other new dog friends....Rokko, Patches, Apollo, Zoe, and many more! I highly reccomend White Gate Court to anyone who loves the Keys, sunsets (you should see the pictures I got),, and the snorkeling. We only caught 5 lobster, but that's okay...next year I'll get them. Thanks Susanne and Roman. We loved it! Who knows, maybe we will be back sooner.

We completely fell in love with your resort, we felt as if we were tranformed to the 40's when everything seemed so simple yet elegant. Even our to Cairn Terriers(their first Vacation) loved it! My husband and I recently spent a long weekend at the resort with our dog Sake. We had such a relaxing and wonderful time. It was great to find a resort that accepts pets(although after the staff saw all of Sake's fur on the floor I doubt they want us back)We highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to spend a relaxing time with or without your pet. We will surely return next year.

As soon as my husband and I drove onto the grounds of White Gate Court, we knew we were in the right place. We had 5 wonderful days in the Keys this summer, and surely could have stayed 5 more days. Especially at White Gate Court. We brought our energetic Border Collie, Mattie, along because this was her vacation. She is a water lover and she made the most of it. By the second day her energy level was much lower with all the swimming and playing she had done. We brought our boat down also. We cannot say enough great things about the room, the grounds, the water. Such a wonderful, relaxing place and we will definetly make White Gate Court "our place" in the Keys thanks to Susanne and Roman. Thank you and we'll see you again, soon. Debbie, Todd & Mattie
